Soprano Alyssa Wills makes her Boston Court debut as part of our 2018 Emerging Artists Series. This Series, back for a 2nd year following a successful launch in 2017, pairs talented young musicians with acclaimed mentors who develop a special program showcasing the young artist’s unique skills and musical viewpoint.

Alyssa Wills was most recently seen performing in Quartetto and Opera in the Park with the Palm Springs Opera Guild. This past year, she performed as Micaëla in a concert production of Carmen with the Los Angeles-based Opera Buffs, Inc., as well as performing with The Industry and LA Opera’s Education and Outreach Program. Other recent performances include Fiordiligi in LTD Opera’s Così fan tutte, Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos, and Marthe Marker in a premier reading of Frau Schindler, both at USC. She has been fortunate to spend past summers at the Tanglewood Music Festival, as well as the Aspen Music Festival. She has also been honored to be a District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, a finalist in the Palm Springs Opera Guild Competition, and the third place winner in the NAT Gwendolyn Roberts Young Artist Competition. She is a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society and holds a BM Vocal Performance degree from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, as well as an MM in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California, where she was fortunate to be active in community outreach as the group leader of “The Hollywood Trio” through the Gluck Fellowship program.
