Jeanette Louise Yaryan

Season 2017

The popular Southern California performer and teacher combines beautiful music, poignant lyrics, and stunning visual elements for an evening full of artistry, poetry, and purpose. Her program, Gods and Monsters, features the musical work of Debussy, Bach, Beethoven, Vine, and Yaryan’s own arrangement of Lewis Allan’s anti-racist anthem, “Strange Fruit,” as well as her own original spoken word. This multidisciplinary and thematic program is filled with provocations and timely explorations about modern philosophies and social justice issues of today.

With special guests Marshall Hawkins, bassist, and David Reid-Marr, visual artist.

This concert is presented in partnership with Piano Spheres.

Boston Court’s Emerging Artists Series is made possible through generous support of the Lazy L Foundation.
