FEATURED ARTISTS
Juliette Herlin (Cellist) is recognized as one of the most promising French cellists of her generation and has performed throughout Europe, the U.S and Asia. As a soloist, chamber musician, and recitalist, she has appeared in such prestigious venues as the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Cité de la Musique, the Musée du Louvre, and the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Alice Tully Hall in New York as well as at the Minsk Philharmony, in Belarus.
Born in Paris in 1991, Juliette was admitted at the age of sixteen to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP) where she obtained her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees studying with Jérôme Pernoo. She pursued her studies at the Juilliard School under the guidance of Richard Aaron. Currently, Juliette is a Doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California where she studies with Ralph Kirschbaum. She is the grateful recipient of support from the French Ministry of Culture, from the Balas Company, and from the Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF).
Madalyn Parnas Möller (Violinist) is an America Violinist and artist founded at the complex intersection of musical heritage and unprecedented innovation, who secures her place on today’s concert stage by bringing inimitable style and artistic vision to every performance.
Since her solo debut at the age of twelve performing the Kabalevsky Violin Concerto, Ms. Parnas Möller’s concert record throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia affirms her dedication to performance and new repertoire. Enthusiastically endorsed by the New York Times, she has most recently toured France as guest soloist with the L’Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire.
Ms. Parnas Möller holds a Master of Music and Artist Diploma in Violin Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music; a Master of Arts in Violin Performance, with distinction, from the Royal Academy of Music in London; and a Bachelor of Science from The College of Saint Rose where she graduated summa cum laude with a double major in Music Industry and French.
Marina Thibeault (Violist) holds numerous honours and distinctions, including prizes from the Père-Lindsay Foundation (2017), “Révélation Radio-Canada” (2016-2017), CBC’s “30 hot classical musicians under 30” (2016), and the Sylva Gelber Foundation (2016). She won first prize in the string category of Prix d’Europe (2015), the McGill Concerto Competition (2015), the Radio-Canada “Young Artist” prize (2007) as well a special prize at the Beethoven Hradec International Viola Competition (2008). During the 2018-2019 season, Marina will make her debuts in Toronto, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Seoul, East Europe, and Costa Rica, travelling with her partner and her two children.
Marina’s first album, Toquade, was released in April 2017 on the ATMA label and was nominated for “album of the year” at the ADISQ (2017) and the Prix Opus (2018). Her 2017-2018 solo debuts include the “Orchestre Métropolitain”, the Agora Symphony, the Appassionata Chamber Orchestra, and the “Orchestre Symphonique de Drummondville”. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with professors Michael Tree and Roberto Diaz, and a Master’s degree with André Roy at McGill University, where she is currently a doctoral candidate.
Marina plays on an 1767 Carlo Ferdinand Landolfi, with a W.E Hill Sons bow, generously loaned by Canimex.
